Jim Jones… ‘The savior of New York hip hop’

Label insider explains why the South took over hip hop and why Jim Jones will bring it back.

Jim Jones, of “Ballin” fame was recently appointed the new Vice President of Urban A&R for KOCH Records.

While many companies are making cut backs, KOCH seems to be continually growing as they recently signed 5 new distribution deals with record labels.

Asked why Jones was selected to lead the A&R charge, a Koch insider said, “That’s easy!  He’s the savior of New York hip hop.  He’s the best New York rapper that’s got East Coast flavor but can rock beats from the South, and those are the guys we’re looking for.”

Said the Koch insider, “The South took over hip-hop with the beats, and now we got the dude that’s gone take it back”.

Under the new title, Jones will be responsible for signing and nurturing new talent to KOCH Records’ urban roster.  Said Jones of his new promotion, “They recognize that I’m not only an artist but a person that can smell talent and be able to mold a superstar”.
