E-40 assassination plot
Federal agents investigating plot against hip-hop artist.
A shootout in Denver following a concert by E-40 left five people injured.
Denver police said they responded to a report of shots fired outside of Vinyl nightclub, where witnesses said gunmen attempted to assassinate E-40.
The Vinyl club, where two years ago Denver Broncos cornerback Darrent Williams was killed in a drive-by shooting, was holding a sold-out show with E-40 as the headliner.
More than 50 semi-automatic bullet shells were recovered at the scene with many bullets striking a nearby hotel and hair salon.
Reportedly a local Denver gang members by the name of “Star-Killer” took credit for the incident has vowed to “keep club Vinyl on lock.”
