Michael Jackson still loves the kids
MICHAEL JACKSON will be joined onstage by a multi-racial chorus of children when he launches his live comeback in London this summer.
The Thriller superstar is due to kick off a mammoth 50-date residency at the O2 Arena in July as part of his This Is It tour.
And he wants a choir of kids to back him up when he performs his catalogue of hits.
But Jackson has specific requirements for the young singers - according to a casting agent email obtained by British tabloid the Daily Mirror, the pop superstar wants the kids to be aged between five and 13, proficient in sign-language, and of African, Caucasian, Asian or mixed race origin.
The email states: "No past professional experience is necessary… Due to children’s work permit laws we will cast more than one choir."
Jackson is also looking for a drumline of "young adults, clean cut and of mixed ethnicity" to join him on tour.
